Tokyo Etsy Craft Party 2015

Had great fun last Friday at the Etsy Craft Party, held in Shibuya Tokyo. Had a go with different crafts like making a rainbow loom band which took the world by storm, a Japanese fabric brooch, and Swedish Traditional Straw Stars. 

As an Etsy seller myself at mypaperpigeon etsy store, it was awesome meeting other Etsy sellers in Tokyo in-person and be exposed to different crafts of different genres.

Loveliest cake for the night just for the Etsy #craftparty event!

Swedish Traditional Straw Stars under guidance from Fabric lover Christina Wemming from Stockholm. They look easy to make but it was quite a challenge for butter fingers of mine!

Japanese Traditional cloth brooch in the making... thats the petals of the sakura flower, nested on a slab of liquid craft glue. 

There you go! My Japanese Cloth brooch finished with 3 little tiny pearls to resemble the Sakura cherry blossom. There were lots of little parts to choose from, gold silver wares to pearls to paper marche parts.
