Exploring a different Illustration style
Sticking to a medium - which was watercolour, a medium that I’ve been practising, has been extremely comfortable, yet uncomfortable. Comfortable - I know this is what I do best and this is also probably what my followers like. Uncomfortable - I felt I was being confined by a certain style.
For the longest period of time, I've not been painting, I was very occupied with a new baby, a new routine, getting back to the corporate workforce, and with a pretty fixed daily routine, I didn't know what to paint anymore. Nothing was exciting or inspiring enough to make me dish that palette of watercolours out anymore.
Recently, I set myself a simple challenge, by looking at things and objects in their simplest form and colours, and not be bound by colours according to observation. And for medium, I gave myself and easy start: the all accessible iPad.
It was a great start! Small start, but easy enough for me to keep drawing and creating.

Clean lines, popping bright colours, I like how these turned out and I hope you do too! ;)
